ensure that by the exercise of best practice. Environmental challenges
are managed as an integral part of the company's operating strategy.
The company will produce products to meet customer requirements,
whilst operating in an environmentally responsible manner, implementing
an effective environmental management system designed to fulfil
our responsibility as a good industrial employer and neighbour of
the local community.
The company requires employees at all levels to exercise a duty
of care and to cooperate, in establishing and maintaining, good
environmental practices to avoid any action that may be detrimental
to the environment surrounding themselves and others.
It is the company's policy to comply with legal environmental
requirements as a minimum standard and with relevant Codes of Practise,
where appropriate.
Each individual manager and supervisor is expected to implement
the environmental policy and assist in the continuous improvement
of the company's environmental management system.
Each individual manager and supervisor is accountable for any errors
or omissions within his area of responsibility.
Managers and supervisors should, through training, communicate with
all employees such that they are:
• Aware of their responsibilities to ensure that all environmental
aspects are conformed to
• Competent to carry out their duties
• Competent to operate plant and equipment.
The company's environmental management system will be regularly
reviewed, revised as necessary and any revisions brought to the
notice of the employees and where applicable to statutory bodies
